UNCOOKED INSTRUCTIONS

Wash Sea Moss in cold clean water several times.

Place in a clean bowl and pour enough water to cover the Sea Moss. Put a lid over the bowl and place the bowl into the refrigerator for 24 to 36 hours.

Remove the Sea Moss from the refrigerator and blend with water then store in the refrigerator.

Consume 1-3 tablespoons daily.

1 oz. Sea Moss

½ oz. linseed

¼ oz. sugar or honey

½ oz. white rum optional

½ teaspoon Gum Arabic – optional

½ teaspoon Isinglass- optional

1 tin condensed milk or alternative

½ lb. pawpaw (peeled & blended) optional

 

Preparing Sea Moss starts with boiling the Irish Moss with Linseed, (Gum Arabic and Isinglass. These two ingredients are optional) together in two quarts of water for 30 minutes. Remove the solids and sweetened the liquid to taste.  Add a tip of salt, nutmeg and vanilla. Serve with  ice, or store in refrigerator in a closed container.
